Regular Meeting (via Zoom) – Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

Topic: “Modern Masonry: Fractals, Macrocosm & Microcosm”

Armchair historians have a wealth of topics within Masonry to
keep them active: Esoterica, Biographies, Lodge Histories, Symbolism.
Rarely do we see Anthropology added to the mix. In a two-year period,
traveling among 78 Lodges across Maryland and speaking to the Brothers
present in Lodge, Charles Matulewicz discovered a common touch point.
By looking at Lodge sign-in books, Matulewicz observed a series of
patterns that paints a story of motivation, distance, and
demographics. “Fractals, Macrocosm & Microcosm… an
anthropological view of Maryland Masonry in the 21st Century” will
provide direct observations of Masons active in the Lodge today. The
program contains no secrets inappropriate for the general public.
