Topic:   Motorized Masons: The Automobile Industry Evolution

“Motorized Masons” explores key fraternal members who made history and revolutionized the Automobile Industry around the world. Most notable influencers range from Studebaker to Maytag. The Studebaker Corporation formed by five brothers, three of which who were Freemasons, started their family business from very early carriages to their 1902 electric car. Not to mention, unknown to most, Bro. Frederick Louis Maytag made cars long before his renowned household washing machines. The presentation will also showcase vehicle models associated with Masons whose names were attached to Chrysler, Ford, Oldsmobile and French auto giant, Citroen. There will be a host of earlier unknown Masons examined, whose innovative contributions furthered the development of the automobile industry, including one who was even rejected by a lodge with the consequences.
